Senior Education Counsellor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Education Counsellor to lead complex student advising cases, mentor junior counsellors, and strengthen our relationships with partner universities. The ideal candidate combines deep knowledge of international admissions with proven leadership and a track record of helping students successfully reach top study destinations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert counselling to prospective students on study destinations, university selection, and course options for complex or high-value applications.
  • Mentor and guide junior counsellors on best practices for student advising and application handling.
  • Manage relationships with key partner universities and represent the company in high-level institutional discussions.
  • Review and approve application documents, personal statements, and SOPs prepared by junior team members.
  • Lead counselling sessions for students with complex profiles, including scholarship and post-graduate applications.
  • Analyze inquiry-to-enrollment conversion data and recommend improvements to counselling strategies.
  • Stay current on evolving international admission policies, scholarship programs, and visa regulations.
  • Coordinate closely with the visa and documentation team on escalated or time-sensitive cases.
  • Represent the company at major education fairs, seminars, and partner events.
  • Support recruitment and training of new counselling staff as the team grows.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in student counselling or international education consultancy, including experience mentoring junior staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of study destinations such as the UK, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, and Germany.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding enrollment targets.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and university application portals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex or escalated student cases.
  • Excellent command of both English and Bangla.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage a team's workload.
  • A genuine passion for mentoring others and helping students achieve their international education goals.
